Hydrangea Stem (White,Pink,Purple,Blue,Dark Pink)

550.00

Hydrangeas make lovely arrangements, but success with them depends on using tried-and-true methods because the flowers fade fast after being cut.

Description

Like bursts of color painted across a canvas, hydrangeas grace gardens with their voluminous blooms, a timeless symbol of abundance, grace, and the ephemeral beauty of nature.

Note:

  • Bring fresh container of water into the garden first thing in the morning on the day of cutting.
  • Select blossom heads that have ninety percent of their flowers open.
  • Trim stems at an angle, then drop them right away into the water bucket; keep them out of the direct sunlight.
  • After harvesting, as soon as you can, submerge the cuttings whole, blossoms, and everything.
  • As needed, remove the cuttings from the water while keeping them immersed.
  • Take out any leaves that will be submerged in the vase, or all of the leaves if you’d like.
  • Before placing the stem ends in the vase, recut or mash them.
  • You can also dissolve the sap at the tips of the stems by briefly immersing the cut ends in cup of hot water.
